Soooo....I'm back...sort of. I have to give my school laptop back tomorrow and so will have limited access to the internet until I get my own. So that's that. In other news I had a lot of fun at Garden State! I placed in two of my classes on Wednesday, 7th in the first, 3rd in the second! After that my luck ran out and I had some bad rides...So Thursday sucked. I tried again on Sunday, but no dice, so we schooled. For whatever reason, I seem quite adept at jumping the 3'3" oxer in the warm up ring, but can't handle the 2'9" oxer in the show ring. >_< Whatever. I took lots of pictures too! I'll post some of my favorites tonight and tomorrow before I have no internet.

Hey guys! I promise, I will have free time eventually! XD As it stands, the Garden State Horse Show starts tomorrow! Which means if I'm not doing schoolwork, I'll be at the show, competing or helping. Yeah, did I mention it's finals week at school? lol, yeah.

In recent news, I went to a small schooling show on Sunday to practice on my Garden State horse, Cola. It was a lot of fun. We got a fifth and a sixth in some good competition. ^^ Fast forward to today: We shipped the horses up to the showgrounds. Before he went up, I decided to hack Cola. The big oaf decided to be stupid and spook at the judge's box that he's seen for at least a year. Well, he did something and came up lame. Great. Enter the horse search. There were surprisingly few horses available that were sound or not on okay-for-maintenence-but-illegal-at-shows-meds. So, enter Indy, aka Air Force One(not kidding, that's his show name), the ougliest Thoroughbred you've ever seen. He has a big ole' roman nose, long legs, and no neck. But he can jump 3'! And he can turn! So he works He had a good school from one of our best riders today, so hopefully he'll be spectacular tomorrow ^^ Here's hoping he forgets how to count to eight!*

So, now you know why I've been scarce. ^^ And why I'll continue to be so

I know that by the time anyone reads this you'll all have heard that Eight Belles had to be euthanized after placing second in the Derby. But I'm about to piss a lot of people off and I don't care! I already know there are tons of people calling out that racing is terrible and blah blah blah, but guess what? It's been going on for YEARS like this and fewer horses used to break down. Horses used to race much more frequently than now. It's not ONLY the early running, a lot had to do with how they are being bred. Think about it. How many horses have to be retired because of injury and then go to stud? A lot. And then, they breed many little foals. What really needs to happen is for the whole of horse racing to wise up and start breeding for sounder horses.

Honestly? Horses don't usually break two legs just galloping! There's more to it than that! This case was a freak accident, for all we know it would have still happened if she had run in the Oaks. It sucks, and believe me, I wish it hadn't happened as much as anyone else. I'm not saying I support racing completely and utterly, but I will look at the tragedy with a clear eye. Sorry for the rant, it's just my opinion.

Yeahhh...so, sorry for the boring-ness lately. A quick update:

Elvis has been progressing well! He has decided work sucks and now requires a ton of leg to get him going. Yay! XD In other news, I'll be taking Cola to Garden State this year. With any luck we'll do the three foot classes at least. I've been having fun in my lessons and I'm half-looking forward to the end of school...I'm not sure I want to graduate! Um...Oh yeah! And I modeled for a friend in the Senior Collection Fashion Show on Thursday. I'll post a picture when I get one
